Greetings!

My name is Andrea Wiggins and I am the GT Specialist at Washington and Sory Elementary. I work with the academically gifted students.

I attended Eastern Washington University, which is outside of Spokane, WA. Washington state is my first love, but Texas is a close 2nd. I moved to Texas in 1995 after attending a Job Fair in Spokane, WA. I moved here not knowing anyone and was ready for a challenge! I taught in inner city Dallas for 7 years before moving to Sherman. I have now been with Sherman ISD for 15 years.

Watching Mrs. Maikowski in elementary school taught me that teaching is a lot of hard work, but the most rewarding job there is. I was sold!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband Mike, and our 14 year old daughter, Amanda.
